Whole Cranberry Sauce

Don't buy canned! Cranberry sauce is so easy to make yourself! Get creative! A little horseradish in it is good too!


  • 2 bags cranberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh apple cider
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger


Be creative! Grated horseradish, instead of ginger, is also good!


1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
2. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.
3. Remove from heat and let cool.
4. Remove bay leaf, cinnamon stick, and ginger.
5. Refrigerate until serving.
