Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup date sugar or syrup
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups non-dairy milk

Instructions

  • In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and water.
  • Bring to a boil and simmer for a minute or until sugar has dissolved.
  • Whisk in pumpkin. When fully incorporated and thickened, add remaining ingredients.
  • Heat to desired temperature.
  • Top with whipped aquafaba or Ricemallow fluff, if desired.
