Pumpkin Spice Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup date sugar or syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ginger powder
- 1/8 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups non-dairy milk
Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk together cocoa powder, sugar, and water.
- Bring to a boil and simmer for a minute or until sugar has dissolved.
- Whisk in pumpkin. When fully incorporated and thickened, add remaining ingredients.
- Heat to desired temperature.
- Top with whipped aquafaba or Ricemallow fluff, if desired.
