Creamy Gravy (Vegan, Oil Free, and Gluten Free)
- 4 cups vegetable broth
- 1/2 cup whole wheat pastry flour or GF flour
- 1/2 cup raw cashews
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1 tsp salt free fried chicken herb and spice blend
- 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped mild green chiles Optional, but highly recommended!
- Combine all ingredients (except chiles, if using) in a blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a large saucepan (add chiles, if using) and whisk over medium heat until thick and bubbly.
